Langtang valley is accessible by 8 hours drive to Syabrubensi
from Kathmandu. This is a small market but trade center for the
people living in Langtang valley. The next two days are spent
climbing briskly up the gorge like lower valley, where oaks and
rhododendron give way to peaceful hemlock and larch forest;
after ascending an old moraine, snowy peaks suddenly loom ahead
and the gorge opens into a U-shaped glacial valley. Springtime
is excellent for flowers here, and in autumn the berberis bushes
turn a deep rust color.
It is possible to trek in various trails . For the adventure
seekers Ganjala can be a best option. Ganjala is a high pass
that links Langtang valley with Helambu ,the Buddhist sagrila.
It is really a challenging trail. It is possible to stay in
lodges except 3 nights while trekking between Kyanging to
Tarkeghyang. The another trail bring you to Gosainkunda that is
know as frozen lake. There are several lakes & water falls
around there. The view from Lauribina & Lauribina pass make the
trek most memorable. |
